Howard Russell graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Design Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University and graduated in 1989 from J. Reuben Clark School of Law (BYU), with cum laude honors.  Mr. Russell is admitted to practice as a patent attorney before the USPTO and is an Oregon lawyer.  Mr. Russell has practiced in big firm and small firm environments, including Arnold, White & Durkee (now merged into Howrey, LLP) in Houston, TX, and his own sole practice lawfirm where he works today in the field of intellectual property and including patent law.  His patent drafting technical expertise is in computer technology (hardware and software), semiconductor test, mechanical and electro-mechanical type inventions.  He distinguishes his practice as a trusted advisor and by catering to the needs of individual inventors and startup companies, carefully explaining along the way the importance, the process and costs of implementing a sound intellectual property strategy and in particular obtaining patent protection as part of that strategy.
